The Central Catholic-Seneca Valley football game Thursday was supposed to be played at Fox Chapel, but the contest has been moved to Seneca Valley.
The game will still be televised by Root Sports television, and next year Central Catholic will be the home team against Seneca Valley.
Central Catholic does not have a home stadium and was going to use Fox Chapel for this game. But Central Catholic athletic director Chuck Crummie said Fox Chapel school officials balked at playing host to the game after someone spray-painted the fox statue at Fox Chapel High School last week. Obscenities were painted on the fox along with the letters "CC" and "CCHS." Fox Chapel played host to Central Catholic in a game last week.
"We were going to try and play at a few other places, but they fell through, so we thought we would just move the game to Seneca Valley," Crummie said. "It will be our home game against Seneca next year."
