The Allderdice boys basketball team is now the No. 1-ranked Class AAAA team in the state.
Allderdice moved up from No. 2 to 1 after Roman Catholic lost to Archbishop Carroll, 64-51. Allderdice is now 9-1, with the loss to Kennedy Catholic, the No. 1 Class A team.
I can't see Allderdice losing to any City League teams, at least not in the regular season. But Allderdice has some interesting games in the next month against WPIAL teams. Allderdice will play Central Catholic in the Hoops For A Cure event at Mt. Lebanon Jan. 16. Allderdice will play Mars Jan. 31 in the Pittsburgh Classic at Montour. Allderdice will also play host to New Castle Feb. 8. Circle the dates. Some good basketball if you want to get out.
