Notre Dame already has three recruits from the WPIAL class of 2017 and one from the class of 2018. The Fighting Irish might add to the list tomorrow.
Beaver Falls defensive end Donovan Jeter will apparently make his college choice tomorrow and just about everyone is connecting the dots to Notre Dame. Why? Well, Jeter originally had said he was going to announce his college decision on Halloween.
But today, he said on his Twitter account "SCRATCH that Halloween commitment date."
Then he told Irishillustrated.com that he will announce tomorrow. Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State and Notre Dame are his top choices. (Jeter is pictured in a game against Aliquippa two weeks ago).
It seems everyone is thinking Notre Dame because Jeter visited Notre Dame this weekend for the Michigan State game. Or could it be that the Notre Dame visit convinced him to choose, say, Pitt? Stay tuned tomorrow.
What's funny is that in the middle of this summer when Jeter said he had narrowed his list to five, Notre Dame wasn't on the list. Then by August, he put Notre Dame back on the final list.
The three WPIAL players from the class of 2017 who have committed to Notre Dame are Central Catholic DL Kurt Hinish, Central Catholic LB David Adams and North Allegheny OL Josh Lugg. From the class of 2018, Pine-Richland QB Phil Jurkovec has committed to Notre Dame.
