FINAL: GATEWAY 43, KISKI AREA 25
Gateway only outgained Kiski Area, 243-215. Four turnovers for Kiski. Gateway had 154 rushing yards to 150 for Kiski Area. Adam White rushed for 93 yards on 13 attempts for Gateway.
10:01 - Kiski gets 49-yard TD from Chad Kuhn to Patrick Turner. 2-point pass good.
9:51 - Kiski Area just drove to the Gateway 5 but a fake field goal came up short.

Montae Nicholson again. Have I said he is a player? 97-yard kickoff return for TD.
And how about Cam Saddler? A year ago he was playing for Pitt. Now he is on sideline and just called timeout for Gateway because of confusion on extra point. Saddler started volunteering at Gateway a few weeks ago. Now he is calling timeouts.

9:27 - By the way, we already knew this, but it was confirmed tonight. Gateway DB-WR Montae Nicholson is big-time player.
9:25 - Game is getting ugly. Penalties. Turnovers. Gateway just threw an INT on a fake punt and then got a personal foul. Kiski Area first at Gateway 12.

9:16 - And Gateway didn't wait long to come back. Delvon Randall takes ensuing kickoff 95 yards for TD. Kick failed. Gateway doesn't have one thing. A kicking game.

9:14 - First play of second half, bad pitch by Gateway QB Jim Moore. Shane Kuhn recovers fumble returns it for TD. Kick good. now 31-14.
9:11 - Second half underway. Gateway had 147 total yards in first half to 103 for Kiski Area. Not that big of a difference. But Kiski Area had four turnovers.
HALFTIME: GATEWAY 31, KISKI AREA 7
8:38 - Scoring has slowed down. Still 31-7. One minute left in half.
8:22 - This game has gotten ugly. Zaihe Regus 1-yard TD run and it's now 31-7 with 8:49 left still in half.
8:17 - Another pick six. This time by Devin Pinkett and goes 22 yards for TD. PAT good this time. 25-7 now Gateway.

8:03 - It's Montae Nicholson show. Now recovers a fumble. Already has TD reception and INT return for TD.

Gateway's Zaihe Regus in wildcat throws 14-yard pass to Montae Nicholson, who just outreached Justice Evans in end zone. Kick failed.
7:58 - First down Gateway at 16, now in wildcat.
7:56 - Gateway moving. Fourth and inches at Kiski Area 18.
7:53 - Teams exchange punts. 68-yard punt by Kiski.

7:43 - Kiski comes right back. QB Chad Kuhn scrambles 44 yards. Justice Evans scores TD on next play 18-yard run. Adam Mitcheson kick. Kiski leads.

7:36 - And it's Gateway on top early. Third and 12 Kiski attempts pass. Tipped by Kiski player intercepted by Montae Nicholson who returns it 32 yards for TD. Kick failed. Kiski has no chance if it makes more than one more turnover.
7:31 p.m. - OK. Gateway warmed up in one set of uniforms and will play in another set. Whatever.
7:17 p.m. - Game time 13 minutes away.
Lot of big shots in this press box. Former Woodland Hills DCoordinator Bill Morton. Now retired as coach and plugging away with his health.

And Gateway hoops coach Mitch Adams running the press box. Although former WVU lineman Verne Howard just walked in and I think I'd listen more to him. Verne looks like he could still crush someone. His son, Aidan, is a Gateway sophomore.

What a great night weather-wise for football. As the sun sets, Gateway gets ready.
Both teams are 2-0 but Kiski Area has lost 13 of 14 to Gateway. The last few meetings have been blowouts. I have a feeling Kiski Area might fare a little better this year. I'm not saying they'll win but they should do much better.
Hey, look who is now a volunteer assistant at Gateway. None other than the one and only, Mr. Personality, Mr. Affable Cam Saddler - former star at Gateway and former Pitt player. Cam has been helping at Gateway the past few weeks. Another former Pitt player, Shayne Hale, is also a Gateway assistant.
